The Death Thief
Book 1
Delilah "Del" Cross went into the woods with the express purpose of never coming back out. However, death was interested in someone else that night. Del finds a murdered young woman, who soon rises from the dead as a zombie.
Del is brought into a very special community living in happy isolation within the beautiful Whisper Valley. There creatures of myth and legend live together in harmony, following a strict set of rules that allow them to be who they are but also enjoy modern amenities like a steady Wifi connection and the latest smartphone. They all just want a normal life that's free from persecution by humans.
For them, humans are instead seen as a commodity. Specifically they're known as the "Bodies" and they all have one year to either be sponsored or converted by one of the town's supernatural citizens. Del fills the vacancy left by the corpse in the woods, Calista Nightgrave. Calista should have been the next bride to a wealthy vampire, but instead she is a lowly zombie that's furious over the shift in her immortal afterlife.
Both Del and Calista feel like something was stolen from them that fateful night, and they must work together to find the truth behind the death thief.
The Phantom Touch
Book 2
Delilah "Del" Cross is determined to find a job before her one year contract runs out in Whisper Valley. She's supposed to find a sponsor with one of the supernatural beings in town or be converted to a vampire, werewolf, or ghost by the end of the year. However, her prospects sare limited and she'd rather live on her own terms.
Del doesn't just have her hands full with her job hunt though. She also has to figure out what she's going to do with the growing rumor that her and the zombie, Bungee, are becoming more than just friends. She certainly sees Bungee as one of her closest friends in town, but does she see him as a romantic partner? And what about the ever brooding sheriff and alpha werewolf, Everett?
Of course, does she really have time for any of that when a long lost zombie returns to Whisper Valley with a strange new diet and an altered personality?
The Blood Moon
Book 3
It's been three months since Delilah "Del" Cross stumbled her way into the mysterious town of Whisper Valley. During that time she's grown to appreciate her new life amongst ghosts, vampires, mages, zombies, and werewolves. Yet, there's still so much she doesn't know. Particularly when it comes to werewolves, which is surprising considering her close relationship with the town's alpha, Everett Hathaway.
Del hopes Everett will go as her date to a lavish wedding during the town's Blood Moon Festival. However, with the arrival of a visiting pack, her plans are disrupted and she's left alone during the festivities of the town's festival. She must navigate the loud parties, dark rituals, and horrifying surprises of the night, all of which will challenge everything she knows about herself and those she's grown to love. When the dust settles and the town awakens the following morning, Del doesn't have time to recover from the painful realizations of the night. A murder has been committed and she finds herself at the top of the suspect list.
The Bone Chapel
Book 4
As Delilah "Del" Cross struggles with life in a pack that neither wants her nor understands her, she begins to test the boundaries of her existence. Nothing is stopping her from leaving town, yet she finds herself anchored in place. Despite this, she still makes use of her new found independence by exploring where the limits of Whisper Valley are.
During her investigations, she stumbles across the mass grave of all who perished in the zombie outbreak a century prior. There, amongst the bones, she finds a woman who was a Body that never found sponsorship at the end of her contract. This former Body, Clementine, lives on her own and keeps a spiritual practice that may help Del find balance in her chaotic life. However, when a group of slayers, intent on ridding the world of paranormal beings, threatens all who live in Whisper Valley, she won't be finding stability any time soon.
The Astral Eyes
Book 5
Delilah "Del" Cross is set on exposing the town's Archmage, Graham, for the monster that he is and to set Whisper Valley free from his grip. However, she needs to convince the reluctant huntress, Jazmin, to provide testimony against him. It will take time to build up her trust as well as train her to share her witness of Clementine's death with others using her powers. Trying to manage Jazmin underneath Graham's nose is a hard enough task, but with the surprise appearance of Delilah's brother, Victor, as the town's newest Body, she may have more than she can handle.
